WHEN IT COMES to ranking the Legislature, the conservative group Citizens Alliance of New Hampshire isn't grading on a curve.
Recently, they announced the 94 “champions,” lawmakers who had fulfilled the 10-point pledge of the group that includes supporting lower taxes and smaller government; free speech; capping or reducing spending; and medical and education freedom, along with backing the 2nd Amendment.
The legislators with the best grades were no surprise, comprising bedrock conservatives led by House Majority Leader Jason Osborne , R-Auburn, and Speaker Sherman Packard , R-Londonderry.
Only two state senators got a great score: Sens. Keith Murphy , R-Manchester and Sen. Tim McGough , R-Merrimack.
