The EastEnders actor who played troublemaking teen Asif Malik has been remembered with heartfelt tributes, more than three years after his sudden death aged just 38. ‌

Ashvin Luximon, who starred as Asi, best pal to Martin Fowler, in the BBC soap from 1999 to 2003, died from an aneurysm on July 23, 2022. His devastated family set up a memorial page in his name to raise cash for the NSPCC and men’s mental health charity Andy’s Man Club, reports the Mirror. ‌

And the page is still bringing in donations today, with the latest £25 given only weeks ago, on the anniversary of his passing.
