Another Moore from Alabama in Congress?

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) shared a poll showing his wife, Heather, leading the possible Republican primary field for Congressional District 1 in 2026, with 39%.

Moore, the congressman, is expected to announce a run for Senate soon, which would leave the Congressional District 1 seat he currently occupies open in 2026.

The lawmaker shared a now-deleted alpolitics(dot)com poll on Friday showing Heather was leading possible competitors like former U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) and State Rep. Rhett Marques (R-Enterprise) in the Congressional District 1 field.

Barry Moore has teased a “Big Announcement Event” in Sylvania on August 15.
