A 17-year-old gunman opened fire in Times Square in the early hours of Saturday morning, injuring three people.
Two men, aged 19 and 65, were shot in the legs and an 18-year-old woman was wounded in the neck, the New York Police Department said.
The shooting at the popular tourist spot occurred after an argument broke out between two people near the intersection of 44th Street and Seventh Avenue at around 1.20am (6.20am BST).
The suspect is currently being held in custody. His identity cannot be disclosed because of his age and charges have not yet been filed. A firearm was also retrieved from the scene.
It is unclear what the dispute was about or whether the victims and the suspect knew each other.
The victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, a police spokesman told The New York Time
