This week, the Sampson County economy got a triple dose of good news — not only is a textile manufacturer bringing more than 100 jobs to Clinton, the town of Garland is likely getting its own DMV office. On Friday, the Golden Leaf Foundation announced $1 million for Sampson Community College’s new Health Sciences Building. If you think this is only a positive for the city of Clinton and the town of Garland, you are mistaken. These developments will benefit the county as a whole, in multiple ways.
