FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) - The New England Patriots kicked off their preseason with a game against the Washington Commanders at Gillette Stadium, where they also unveiled a statue of legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

The Patriots' preseason opener was marked by the unveiling of a 12-foot statue honoring Tom Brady, who played 20 seasons with the team and won six Super Bowl titles.

"We came here, we got tickets to the game, we wanted to come by and see the statue of Tom Brady," said Patriots fan Ed Kasaduski. "It's a well-deserved tribute to him."
