BOSTON (WWLP) - Any citizen or interest group can propose a ballot question in the Bay State, and the 2026 field includes questions that could reduce lawmakers' pay and change the way primary elections work.

The first step in getting a question on the ballot is to submit the signatures of 10 registered voters to the attorney general by the first Wednesday in August, and dozens of initiatives are in the running to be voted on.
