The City of Groveland celebrated the groundbreaking of its newest fire station on August 6 th with a ceremonial “dirt toss” completed by Groveland city officials and Fire Chief Kevin Carroll.

The Mayor of Groveland proudly spoke on the importance of the new fire station.

The new fire station, situated on land donated to the city, is scheduled for completion in early 2026. The 12,657-square-foot station, located at 19851 South Obrien Road, will be situated on 3+ acres in the rapidly growing area of US-27 and SR-19. The three-bay fire station will boast state-of-the-art amenities such as underground utilities, back-up generators in case of power loss, and the ability for future building additions, if needed.
