Carol Vorderman issues expletive six-word response to criticism as she shares 'worries'

Carol Vorderman has issued a frank response to the rising tide of online abuse aimed at women, saying she’s alarmed by how widespread the problem has become across social media platforms.

The former Countdown presenter , 64, said she regularly witnesses the hostile treatment of women online – even those with no public profile – and admitted the trend is something she finds deeply troubling.

Speaking to HuffPost UK , Vorderman said: “When I go through Instagram, for instance – and I try to follow a whole range of different people, because you see the different lives that people are living and everything – every woman gets abuse! And I just think, ‘Hang on, what the f*** has happened here?’”
