Friday night's preseason game between the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons made history for all the wrong reasons. A major injury led to the game being suspended, as players from both sides met in the middle of the field to offer a prayer for Lions defensive back Morice Norris.

Norris went in for a tackle and suffered what appeared to be a gruesome head and neck injury. His head snapped back after colliding with running back Nathan Carter.

The telecast revealed that Norris began "spazzing," and medical staff jumped in right away. An ambulance was needed on the scene, and Norris was placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.
