Detroit Lions cornerback Morice Norris practices during training camp at Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Detroit Lions defensive back Morice Norris shared an encouraging update from his Instagram page after leaving his team's preseason game in an ambulance on Friday night.

Norris suffered what looked to be a serious head/neck injury during Detroit's road preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons. The game was suspended in the fourth quarter after Norris left the field in an ambulance for Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

The Lions shared late Friday night that Norris was in stable condition and had movement in all of his extremities, eliminating the worst-case scenario. He would remain at Grady overnight for observation.

Norris also shared an update on his Instagram page on Saturday morning, saying he was "all good" and that he appreciated all the love and concern.

It's a genuine relief that Norris is doing well after what looked like one of the scarier NFL injuries in recent memory. While we don't know how much time he will miss, it's wonderful that he's able to give us an update.
