Emergency services were called to an office block in Greater Manchester after a fire broke out.

Roads around the Park Gates building in Prestwich were cordoned off as fire crews dealt with the blaze this afternoon (August 9). Five fire engines from across Greater Manchester attended the incident on Bury New Road and remained on the scene for several hours.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) first received reports of the incident at around 11.45am.

Sedgley Park Road was cordoned off while firefighters tackled the blaze but the road reopened shortly after 3pm.
