Chris Davies hopes to add new signing Marvin Ducksch to Birmingham City’s attacking mix by the end of the month.
Blues signed Germany international Ducksch from Werder Bremen on Thursday and he was presented to supporters before the 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on Friday night.
The 31-year-old striker arrives with an impressive scoring record in the Bundesliga and will provide competition to Jay Stansfield, Kyogo Furuhashi and Lyndon Dykes once he has recovered fully from a calf injury.
“Ducksch has come in and is a little bit behind physically because he’s come in with a little niggle,” said Davies.
“He’s a player that is obviously a physical size, 6ft 2in, a nine that can hold the ball, link, turn, slide people in, technically good and a good finisher as well when he gets chances i
