FAIRMONT — When news spread in late June that Rev. Donald David “D.D.” Meighen had passed away, Dani DeVito, said the tributes she read on social media “was like looking through a scrapbook.”

Speaking at the 71st Annual Dinner of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce on Aug, 6, DeVito — who now serves as president of the Chamber — was once a teen under Meighen’s tutelage when he served as pastor of Fairmont’s Central United Methodist Church.
