LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lancaster County Super Fair experienced “significant” storm damage early Saturday morning, but plans to keep the events going on its final day.
According to fair officials, some areas of the fairgrounds at the Sandhills Global Event Center will open later than usual as cleanup continues.
Officials said several vendor tents were damaged, and a stage was flipped over onto a nearby tent.
Crews have been working since early Saturday morning to assess the damage, ensure safety for the public and make necessary repairs.
“The storm threw us a curveball,” marketing manager Gina Natha said in a press release. “But our team came together, tackled the mess and now we’re set to finish the fair on a high note.”
