Former judge Pat Dugan will be on the general election ballot for the Philadelphia District Attorney race after a "historic write-in" effort, his campaign said on Saturday, Aug. 9.

According to Dugan's campaign, they will file the necessary paperwork to appear on the ballot for the Nov. 4 election as a Republican, however, Dugan still identifies as an "independent Democrat."

Krasner is seeking reelection for a second, having first taken on the role as D.A. after winning the race in 2018.
