The Lynx announced on Saturday that they've signed former Liberty guard Jaylyn Sherrod and waived veteran Yvonn Anderson in a corresponding move.
Anderson played only one game for Minnesota this season. Listed at 5-foot-7, Sherrod will provide the Lynx with more youth and scoring. The former Colorado Buffaloes standout played 28 total games for New York over the last two seasons.
The Lynx have a budding rivalry with the Liberty after last year's WNBA Finals, and they've now acquired one of their players before a highly-anticipated matchup between the teams on Sunday in New York.
