Police shot a man who was wielding a knife inside a Dollar General store in Walker, Minnesota, on Friday evening.

At around 6:40 p.m. a resident flagged down a Walker Police Department officer to report a man wearing only boxer shorts and “acting erratically.”

At the same time, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man matching that description carrying a knife in front of businesses on Minnesota Avenue. Multiple people in the area also reported having their tires punctured.

The officer then found the suspect and began to pursue him on foot. The suspect eventually entered a Dollar General store near Highway 34 and Highway 200 on Minnesota Avenue. Inside, the suspect reportedly threatened to kill all of the store’s employees.
