By 9 a.m. Saturday, dozens of families had already formed outside the Muzetta Thrower Adult Education Center, eagerly waiting for the doors to open.

But this wasn’t a typical day of adult education. This time, the spotlight was on the younger generation preparing to head back to school.

In a collaborative community effort, the center partnered with Possibility Pathways Inc. to host a back-to-school giveaway, offering free backpacks filled with essential school supplies, coupons for haircuts, and a whole room stocked with donated clothing, shoes, and accessories for families to browse.

Visitors to the Muzetta Thrower Adult Education Center Saturday also had an opportunity to look through donated clothing. (Robin MIller/The Reporter)
