FARGO, ND (KXNET) — One person was hospitalized after a shooting in Fargo Saturday morning.

According to the Fargo PD's Facebook, officers responded to a shooting in the area of 10th St. N. and 6th Ave. N. around 12:10 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound, and they began life-saving efforts until an ambulance could bring him to a medical facility, where they say he is in critical, but stable condition.

Detectives are following leads as FPD actively investigates the case. The preliminary investigation shows that the suspect and victim were involved in a physical altercation, and that the shooting is not related to the violence that took place in downtown Fargo in the morning hours of August 3.
