A year ago, the Colorado football recruiting staff was doing everything it could to convince a 16-year-old from Georgia to make Boulder home.
Committed to USC at the time, Julian “JuJu” Lewis wound up changing his mind, flipping to CU in November, signing in December and arriving in January.
Now, he’s a 17-year-old freshman with sky-is-the-limit potential in his future.
“I love everything about the kid, and he’s going to soar,” CU head coach Deion Sanders said on Friday. “When it’s his turn, trust me, you’re going to know, and he’s going to soar.”
