'Police Incident' In Philadelphia After Man Barricades Himself Inside Home (DEVELOPING)

An active police incident is ongoing on the 1500 block of West Butler Street in Philadelphia on Saturday, Aug. 9, authorities announced.

The situation began at 5:50 p.m. when officers were in foot pursuit of a man who ran into a property on the block, according to police.

By 5:55 p.m., the scene was declared a barricade, and a staging area was set up at 15th and Butler Street. SWAT officers are currently on location.

No further details have been released at this time.
