A record number of freshmen are moving in at Florida Tech, where new students are getting a warm welcome and plenty of help to start their college journey.
"It’s move-in day at Florida Tech, and for thousands of new Panthers, it marks the beginning of a new chapter," said Cat Nanney, dean of students.
One of the many freshmen moving on Saturday, Andrew Bateh, said, "I feel amazing. It’s very exciting, moving out. I am very ready to start college."
Florida Tech is welcoming 1,300 new students this year — a record-breaking class, according to Nanney.
"We have another large, breaking number class this year, so we are excited to have them here," she said.
