HAMDEN, Conn. — The journey to become physicians began for 95 first-year medical students at Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine on Friday.
The group of students received their white coats during a ceremony held at MT&T Bank Arena. By accepting the white coat, each student made a commitment to serve.
The White Coat Ceremony is a tradition with deep roots in medical education that celebrates a student’s formal entry into the profession, according to a university release.
Furthermore, it represents trust, compassion and commitment to ethical patient care. The students who participated Friday are part of the university’s Class of 2029.
The class is indicative of the school of medicine’s growing national and global reach. The students come from 22 states and 59
