The Surrey Police Service says it is asking for the public’s assistance as it seeks to identify the suspect in a bank robbery.
Officers were called to the bank at George Junction near 137th Street shortly before 10 a.m. Friday.
“It was reported that a male suspect entered the bank, approached a customer service representative, and demanded money,” Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said.
“The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen on foot crossing Whalley Boulevard at Fraser Highway.”
Police say they were unable to find the suspect after an extensive search.
The suspect is described as heavy set with a short beard and was wearing a grey hoodie, white pants, black shoes, and sunglasses.
