OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- Ministries from across Acadiana organized a prayer caravan in Opelousas, aiming to bring hope and resources to neighborhoods in need.
The event, known as 'Hand 2 Hand Combat,' took place in the Oil Mill area, where local churches and community groups collaborated to address issues such as poverty, violence, and addiction through prayer and support.
"We have to take a collaborative approach to address the vices of our communities," said Donavan D. Davis, a community activist involved in the event.
Minister Sarah Everson, director of Project Self, emphasized the mission to empower and encourage residents.
