HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Summer is winding down, and so is the Hastings Aquacourt’s season.

The final day for people to swim at the Aquacourt is Saturday, Aug. 10. But the water won’t be completely off-limits after that — the annual “Doggie Paddle” event will close out the season Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Hastings Public Information Manager Tony Herrman said this year has been one of the smoothest in recent memory for the facility.

“In recent years, staffing has been kind of an issue,” Herrman said. “This year it really was not an issue at all. For the most part, there’s two pools, two bodies of water at the Aquacourt, and those were open pretty much all summer long.”
