HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Senior High hosted the first ever “Buckets and Backpacks” event on Saturday.

The event featured a basketball camp for students entering first grade through eighth grade. After the camp, students received free backpacks with school supplies, including colored pencils, notebooks, and earbuds.

School starts on Thursday, August 14.
