The Sparks couldn’t overcome a rough offensive game, leading to a 72-59 loss against the Golden State Valkyries on Saturday night.

The loss hands the Valkyries, who are competing with the Sparks for the final playoff spot, the season series and a potentially important tiebreaker.

Dearica Hamby and Kelsey Plum were held scoreless in the first half. Hamby finished with 15 points and three rebounds. Plum tallied just four points, four rebounds and four assists.

Rickea Jackson ended with eight points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Rae Burrell pitched in with 10 points off the bench. Julie Allemand had 10 points. Cameron Brink scored five points.
