Blackpool Pleasure Beach made a controversial change to its admission policy.

Theme park bosses have announced dogs will now be permitted on Sundays throughout August.

The popular attraction has allowed thrill-seekers to bring their four-legged companions along for the first time in a bid to "truly be a destination for all".

Starting today (Sunday, August 10), guests can purchase a special dog entry pass alongside their regular ticket, granting their cherished pups access to the attraction, the Manchester Evening News reports.

There will be watering points and treats available at numerous points around the theme park, plus dedicated areas where families can unwind with their pets.
