Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman's body was discovered in Smethwick.

A scene remains in place after officers were called to an industrial estate off Woodburn Road this morning (Monday, August 11).

West Midlands Police said "nothing could be done" to revive the woman, who was confirmed dead at the scene.
