A large house party in Rio Linda, California, with about 100 attendees — mostly high school-aged — ended in gunfire late Friday night. Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple 911 calls around 11:30 p.m. and found at least two people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the shooting may have involved two groups at the party. Neighbors described hearing several bursts of gunfire and expressed concern about youth access to firearms. The Sheriff’s Office is urging witnesses to come forward and reminding parents to monitor their children’s activities.
