ALBANY – Assemblyman Brian Maher criticized Governor Kathy Hochul this week for what he describes as an open and unapologetic embrace of partisan gerrymandering, following the Governor’s recent statements suggesting that redistricting is, at its core, a political tool and not a matter of fair governance.

In defending the possibility of Democratic-led redistricting changes, Hochul said: “With all due respect to the good government groups, politics is a political process.”
