POUGHKEEPSIE – Members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force made their presence known in Poughkeepsie Tuesday morning as they swooped in and arrested another alleged drug dealer. Motorists and pedestrians on Main Street watched as several unmarked vehicles, joined by Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office road patrol units, converged in the parking lot of Kennedy Fried Chicken at 472 Main Street and took the woman into custody.

As a crowd of onlookers gathered across the street, a member of the unit used the PA system to announce that the woman was “out of business”.

Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, the coordinator of the task force, told Mid-Hudson News that Tuesday’s arrest was the result of multiple complaints from area residents about the sale of illegal drugs in the area. The woman, Ha
