Gary Sinise , acclaimed star of stage and screen, has always been an active participant in humanitarian efforts for veterans and active-duty servicemen and women. Now Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band (named after Sinise's iconic Forrest Gump character, who was a veteran and amputee) are helping commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with "a powerful tribute to the heroes of America's Greatest Generation."
The Gary Sinise Foundation is partnering with the Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation to put on an exhibit at the Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from August 30 to September 2.
