KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Knox Heritage has released its annual "Fragile & Fading" list, which includes 11 different historic places in Knox County that are in need of preservation work.
Each year, the Fragile & Fading list identifies historically significant structures that are in need of conservation and restoration strategies to create awareness and strengthen community support before the historic structures are lost forever.
Although the list includes properties in different states of need, it also includes two structures where progress has been made. Those structures in the "Moving Forward" category are the Howell House at Knoxville Botanical Gardens & Arboretum and the Giffin School in the South Haven neighborhood.
