NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department has released new information in the shooting death investigation involving a 6-year-old boy.

Police said the child’s parents drove him to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center late Friday afternoon, where he was pronounced dead.

The couple said that the boy, Cyprien Romero, was with them as they were doing yard work in the Paragon Mills area, and he was playing with his brother when they discovered he was injured. Since then, police said they have been uncooperative.

“Conflicting information over the weekend indicated that the shooting might have occurred out of county,” MNPD said.
