PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A charter school in South Portland is aiming to relocate due to ongoing protests at the nearby ICE building.
The Cottonwood School of Civics and Science is a state-funded charter school located on South Bancroft Street.
It neighbors the Portland ICE field office - and has had to deal with noise from protests and the use of munitions like tear gas from federal agents for years.
In June, they announced that they were seeking a new location, immediately.
The school sent a statement to its community:
