Maine State Police are investigating a death that was reported Saturday morning in Waldoboro.
“Detectives and evidence response technicians have been on scene all day investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. There is no known danger to the public. I hope to have additional information tomorrow afternoon after the autopsy is performed,” Maine Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Saturday evening.
Waldoboro Police Chief John Lash was parked Saturday at the entrance to the long driveway leading to a home at 506 Genthner Road, which town assessment records list as belonging to Levern A. Kelley. Police were called to the scene at about 8 a.m.
A state police mobile crime lab and other state police vehicles arrived during the day.
