Whether it is a State Pension, Universal Credit or PIP, thousands of people in Scotland rely on benefits to help them get by. And for many it can be a struggle making it essential to receive your money on time . ‌

With a seemingly never-ending rising cost of living, it means what has always been tough can be even more of a struggle just to make ends meet. Latest figures show about 24 million people in the UK are claiming some form of DWP benefits - and of these approximately 2.8 million in Scotland. ‌

The majority of benefits, including Carer's Allowance, Pension Credit and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) are paid every four weeks. Meanwhile it is monthly for Universal Credit and every two weeks for others such as Income Support and Jobseeker's Allowance. ‌
