Growing up along a busy high street in Hackney , only much later, in my adulthood, did I understand that the arrival of sourdough restaurants and £5 coffees meant gentrification. This was only the beginning.

So when I walked out of the latest cafe to pop up in Clissold Park clutching my £8.80 worth of goods - so that's one iced oat matcha latte and chunk of vegan chocolate espresso cake - I couldn't help but reflecting on those early days of the slow but steady trendy takeover of the borough.
