JACKSON, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two of them.

Gizmo is a 8-month-old boxer mix. This pup was surrendered by his owner due to financial reasons.

He is good with other puppies and dogs. Gizmo likes toys and playing with balls. He likes to play in the water and he is partially potty trained.

Gizmo is still a puppy, so he will chew on things. He came in underweight and lacking muscle tone. Often this is due to many hours contained in a crate.

Gizmo is not a barker and he does not jump up on you. He is motivated by treats and will be a quick learner.

Izzy is a 4-year-old tabby cat who was surrendered by her owner. She is housed with other cats and can be found perching up high in a great sleeping spot.
