For Megan Hyde and her clients, permanent makeup is about much more than aesthetics.

After losing her eyebrow due to radiation treatments for blue nevus-like melanoma, a rare type of skin cancer, Samantha Smit walked into Hyde's studio in Alberta, Canada, "looking for a way to feel like myself again."
