A woman was found dead near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, according to police.

An Edmond police officer found the woman's body in the roadway near E 15th St. and Timberlake Ave. on Saturday, August 9, the Edmond Police Department said on Facebook.

The department said the investigation is in its early stages, and "it is too soon to determine or speculate on the cause or manner of death."
