People have been seen fleeing after a popular Edinburgh landmark went up in flames this afternoon.
A huge brush fire has set the top of Arthur's Seat ablaze, with flames seen for miles across the city.
The fire is sending thick plumes of acrid smoke billowing into the skies over the Scottish capital - with eyewitnesses reportedly seeing people "running down the hill" to escape the flames.

Around a month ago, Scotland suffered what is thought to be the largest wildfire the country has ever seen.
