For communities like ours along the Raritan Valley Line, reliable train service isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Over 15,000 of our residents depend on NJ TRANSIT every day to get to work, school and other essential destinations. Despite our high ridership, we still do not have convenient and reliable one-seat-ride service into Manhattan during rush hour.

Currently, Raritan Valley Line riders must transfer at Newark to get into New York City during peak hours, leaving us vulnerable to delays. A missed connection can add up to 40 minutes to an average commute which has become routine for the thousands who rely on this corridor every day.
