TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hundreds of Lego enthusiasts flocked to the exhibition hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds over the weekend for the Brick Fan Expo, which combined designs, interactive exhibits, and local vendors.

"It blows my mind every time, I'm amazed what people can come up with," event organizer Nick Ferguson said.

Over 200 designers attended the event, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that were nearly always created without the use of instructions.

"My universe has taken 6 years to build, and I would do it all again. I love seeing the smiles from the kids," designer Scott Drown said.

Other attractions included remote-controlled Lego cars, a bridge-building competition and workshops.
