RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A man wanted for a deadly July shooting outside a Columbia-area convenience store has been arrested more than 450 miles away.
Authorities confirm 29-year-old Desmond Alonzo Coleman was arrested in Indiana on Friday. Coleman was wanted on a murder charge for a shooting that happened at the CK Mart at 2624 Broad River Road in the early morning hours of July 2.
Authorities said the victim, 29-year-old Deshawn J. Carroway, was shot multiple times and died at the scene. Deputies searched a home in the Chadford Road area near Irmo later that day and found a vehicle tied to the case but not Coleman.
