TUSTIN – A woman was fatally struck by vehicles when she exited a car on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Tustin, authorities said Sunday.

The fatality occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway at the Tustin Ranch Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car was described as a gray Toyota Prius.

A representative from the Orange County coroner’s office was dispatched to the scene at 10:26 p.m. and all lanes of traffic were re-opened at 12:59 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if the victim fell, was pushed or exited the vehicle voluntarily.
