KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A wide receiver for the University of Tennessee was arrested Friday night for driving with a suspended license, court records show.
Chris Brazzell, 22, is due in court Aug. 20 at 8:30 a.m. for an arraignment on the charges.
According to court records, Brazzell was pulled over at the intersection of Chapman Highway and East Blount Avenue around 9 p.m. The officer said he saw a black Dodge Charger accelerate from a red light and go over the Henley Street Bridge at 60 mph.
Court records say the officer made contact with the driver, Brazzell, who provided his passport and said he didn't have his driver's license on him. The officer ran Brazzell's name and found he had a suspended license for failing to appear in court in Blount County on Aug. 15, 2024.
